Our Product


Based on the demand of Iran Pistachio customers, Farcan Agribusiness Co. is capable of providing four different varieties of naturally open in shell (NO) and mechanically open in shell (MO) pistachios in two round and long types, that are the most common in various sizes. The four main commercial varieties in Iran are Fandoghi (FG) and Kala Ghuchi (KG) of round type and Akbari (AK) and Ahmad Aghaee (AA) of long type. Farcan Agribusiness Co. also provides high-quality pistachio kernel in two types round and long.

In order to ensure the best pistachio is delivered to customers, Farcan Agribusiness Co. tries to check the quality of raw materials, under process materials and finished goods to guarantee that the final product is meeting the well-defined standards. Also our processing sites in Iran have been certified with ISO 9001 and ISO 22000. The bags that are generally used for export lots are25 and 50 kg P.P bags and 500 kg Jumbo bags for open in shell pistachios and 10 kg plastic bags in cartons for pistachio kernel.

Normal packaging for NO and MO are 25 and 50 kg plastic bags and 500 kg jumbo bags and Normal packaging for Kernel is 10 kg Vacuum Plastic bag in carton.
 
 

It’s important to mention that:

Naturally Open In-Shell Pistachios (NO) are mostly exported as raw dried, in bulk. Raw dried pistachios have a practically unlimited storage life, if stored in relatively dry conditions (only fumigation is needed). Kernel content is about 52-59%, depending on variety and annual fluctuations.
Mechanically Opened pistachios (MO) are closed shell pistachios that have been mechanically opened along the suture of the nut to look similar to the naturally open pistachios. The difference with naturally open pistachios is a lower kernel weight to in-shell ratio (kernel content).

IRAN STANDARDS

Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) defines standards for the following Iranian pistachio products:

  • In-Shell Pistachio Nuts: ISIRI 15 4th revision
  • Mechanically Opened Pistachio Nuts: ISIRI 4919 1st revision
  • Closed Shell Pistachio Nuts: ISIRI 4921 1st revision
  • Pistachio Kernels: ISIRI 218 4th revision
  • Split Pistachio Kernels: ISIRI 3639 1st revision

OUR STANDARDS


The specific analytical tests that we have been doing are as below:

 

Physical analysis

Physical tests are performed at each step of the production according to our quality plan and also to meet the expectations of our customers.
 
 

Chemical analysis

All chemical tests that are necessary for pistachio products and Date, such as the determination of the peroxide and FFA levels are performed in our laboratory.
 
 

Toxic analysis

The aflatoxin analysis is being conducted with the latest technology.
 
 

Microbiological analysis

All of Farcan products are going through the microbiological analysis before final delivery.
 
 

Raw material Management

All of the approved raw materials are labeled with the tracking numbers, and these materials are labeled to ensure maximum traceability of our products and also stored in the area that is designated for each of them.
 
 

Storage area management

Our raw materials, semi products and finished goods are holds for inspection and all of them stores in different areas that are designated for them to prevent any cross contamination.
